Mike Krzyzewski: 'Derrick Rose one of the best players in the world'

US national basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski has labelled Derrick Rose as one of the best players in the world.

Rose made his return from a long-term injury last night as his country took on Brazil, with Krzyzewski speaking before the fixture to declare his admiration for the point guard.

"I think he's outstanding," said Krzyzewski, according to The AP.

"Look, he's one of the best guys in the whole world. He's so easy to coach and wants to please.

"It's very neat to see how excited he is about being here. And his first game back to play in the United Center, as a Chicagoan I'm ecstatic about what him and Tom have done for the Bulls."

The USA prepared themselves for the World Cup of Basketball with a comfortable 95-78 win on Saturday night.
