Half-Time Report: New York Giants hold narrow lead

Giants hold narrow lead

The New York Giants have a narrow lead over the Washington Redskins in their NFL clash at MetLife Stadium.

The game started slowly with both sides struggling immensely to move the ball downfield, as possession after possession was punted away by Sam Rocca and Steve Weatherford.

New York were also turning the ball over as Andre Brown fumbled and Josh Wilson gathered for the Redskins, which led to a field goal from Kai Forbath, who kicked a 31-yarder between the posts to hand his side the lead.

However, the Giants responded in their next drive and took the lead. Eli Manning moved his team downfield and fired a 24-yard strike to Jerrel Jernigan in the endzone to make a good catch between two defenders.

Just before the end of the half, New York added a field goal as Josh Brown fired over from 34 yards, but seconds later Kai Forbath reduced his team's deficit to four points with a 49-yarder.
