Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones believes that his side are playing above even his expectations of the team this season as they recorded their sixth win of the campaign.

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has admitted that his side are playing above their expectations after winning their sixth game in a row.

The Cowboys moved to 6-1 in their season with a 31-21 victory over their bitter NFC East rivals the New York Giants at AT&T Stadium.

Jones feels that his side are gaining confidence, and look poised for a run to the post-season for the first time since 2010.

"I think our record is above what we could have expected," Jones told reporters. "But we have it and it's a credit to a team that is building in their confidence."

Jason Garrett's team face the Washington Redskins in their week eight clash next Monday.
