British junior Kyle Edmund crashes out of the Australian Open after a 7-5 7-5 loss to first seed Luke Saville.

British youngster Kyle Edmund has crashed out of the Australian Open boys competition following a straight-sets loss to Luke Saville.

After an impressive tournament, Edmund finally lost out to the first seed and home favourite Saville.

In a tight first set, Edmund's serve looked inconsistent and Saville took advantage later on in the opener by breaking the seventh seed.

The pair traded breaks of serve before Saville took the first set 7-5 in just under an hour.

Set two followed a similar pattern and Edmund's serve looked to have improved until late on in the set.

Saville took advantage of the Brit's mistake and served out to book a semi-final spot.
