Warren Gatland confident of Wales response against Scotland

Warren Gatland backs his Wales side to put their defeat to England behind them when they face Scotland in the Six Nations.

Wales coach Warren Gatland has backed his side to get their Six Nations campaign up and running against Scotland this weekend.

The Welsh were beaten in their opening match of the tournament last weekend with a 16-21 defeat at home to rivals England.

However, Gatland has been encouraged by the positivity of his players in training this week ahead of their trip to Murrayfield.

"The response from the players has been very positive in training this week and we are looking forward to having the opportunity to right last weekend's wrongs," he told the Welsh Rugby Union's official website.

"Scotland started the tournament well against France, building on their autumn campaign and they will be looking forward to welcoming us to Edinburgh this weekend. We know what we need to do and we hope our performance can reflect that."

Gatland has made one change to his starting XV for the match, with Liam Williams replacing George North on the left wing.
