Rob Webber handed England captaincy against Barbarians

Bath hooker Rob Webber will captain England for the first time in this Sunday's clash against the Barbarians at Twickenham.

Bath hooker Rob Webber has been given the England captaincy for this weekend's clash against the Barbarians at Twickenham.

Webber will lead his national side for the first time on Sunday, while Matt Kvesic and Marland Yarde will make their senior England debuts.

"We've selected a young and exciting side and this is a great opportunity for these players who have shone in the Premiership this season to step up in front of passionate home crowd at Twickenham Stadium," BBC Sport quotes England head coach Stuart Lancaster as saying.

"Rob Webber finished the season strongly with Bath and I know his leadership qualities well. I am sure he'll show the way backed up by the other senior players in the team."

The starting lineup is made up of players aged 24 and under.

England team to play Barbarians:

Brown, Wade, Joseph, Twelvetrees, Yarde, Burns, Wigglesworth; Corbisiero, Webber, Wilson, Launchbury, Attwood, Johnson, Kvesic, Morgan
