Terry Connor quiet on Wolverhampton Wanderers interview

Terry Connor refuses to reveal any details from his interview for the vacant managerial position at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Terry Connor has refused to reveal how his interview to become the new manager of Wolverhampton Wanderers went.

The 49-year-old has been in interim charge of the club since Mick McCarthy was sacked in March.

Wolves have yet to win under Connor's guidance and as a result they were recently relegated to the Championship following a three-year stint in the top flight.

Nevertheless, the club's board have seen enough in Connor's ability to consider him for the job on a permanent basis.

The coach has confirmed that he has held talks with owner Steve Morgan and chief executive Jez Moxey, but stopped short of revealing any details.

"I went up to meet with Steve and Jez because I was asked to go there to speak to them," Connor told reporters. "I'm not prepared to discuss what we actually said.

"We discussed what we discussed. Now we'll finish off the season and we'll see what happens. I have no idea about a timescale."

Wolves travel to Wigan Athletic on Sunday afternoon for their final match in the Premier League for at least a year.
