Sam Allardyce reveals that he is hoping to bring in new faces quickly ahead of West Ham United's Premier League return.

Sam Allardyce has admitted that he wants to add new signings to his squad as a matter of urgency.

The Hammers have released a number of out-of-contract players this summer while adding four new players, including Jussi Jaaskelinen and Mohammed Diame.

Allardyce told West Ham's official website that his priority at this stage is to add depth to his squad.

He said: "Right now, our main [aim] is to improve the quality of the squad and get some new faces in as quickly as possible.

"That has been the most difficult task of the summer."

West Ham will hope to have the main bulk of their squad in place for their opening game back in the Premier League against West Ham United on August 18.
