Gareth Bale could miss Tottenham's clash with Manchester United on Sunday due to a hamstring injury.

Tottenham Hotspur winger Gareth Bale has suffered a hamstring injury which could rule him out of the crucial match against Manchester United on Sunday.

Bale missed Wales's 1-0 defeat to Costa Rica on Wednesday and will undergo tests at Spurs' Essex-based training ground on Friday.

The match at White Hart Lane could prove to be an important fixture in Spurs' season as Harry Redknapp's side look to recover from last Sunday's 5-2 loss to Arsenal.

According to The Independent, sources from the North London club are insisting that the injury is not as serious as first feared.

Kyle Walker and Rafael van der Vaart are also both doubts for the match and Spurs are awaiting confirmation of whether the duo could be available.

Spurs are currently third in the Premier League.
