Brian McDermott urges his players to stick together and results will come.

Reading manager Brian McDermott has urged his players to fight as a team after this afternoon's 1-0 defeat against West Bromwich Albion.

The result sent Reading to the bottom of the league with just one point, but McDermott has pointed to past success they have achieved by playing as a team.

"We just need to stick together - and we will do, we have done for a long time," McDermott told BBC Sport.

"The players have been successful in the past and they will be again. I know they are better than they are showing at the moment."

Reading face Newcastle United at home next weekend.
