Half-Time Report: Steven Caulker equalises for Queens Park Rangers

Queens Park Rangers come from behind to head into the break level with Stoke City at Loftus Road.

Steven Caulker scored just before half time to send Queens Park Rangers into the break level at 1-1 with Stoke City at Loftus Road this afternoon.

Both sides made attacking starts to the match, but it was the hosts who seemed to have the majority of the possession in the opening 10 minutes.

However, the visitors took an early lead when Peter Crouch got the better of Rio Ferdinand with a jump in the box, before heading the ball down for Mame Biram Diouf to nod in from just a couple of yards out.

The Potters had a chance to double their lead 10 minutes later when Charlie Adam played the ball through for Diouf, but the striker took too long lining up his shot.

Niko Kranjcar almost got an equaliser for the hosts when he unleashed a powerful curling effort from 30 yards out, but it just whistled wide of the top corner.

QPR continued to press through, and managed to get back on level terms just before the break when Steven Caulker got the better of Ryan Shawcross during a corner to head the ball past Asmir Begovic.
