Half-Time Report: Partick Thistle lead by two at Hearts

Two first-half goals give Partick Thistle a half-time lead over Hearts in the Scottish Premiership.

Partick Thistle have taken a 2-0 lead into half time in their Scottish Premiership game against Hearts this afternoon.

The home side appeared to be on the front foot early on, with Ryan Stevenson trying a couple of early shots, sending one wide, before Scott Fox saved the second.

The visitors quickly upped their game as they looked to halt Hearts' early dominance, but Jamie McDonald was able to stop efforts from Steven Lawless and Aaron Sinclair.

It was not long before the visitors broke the deadlock, though, as Kallum Higginbotham slid the ball in for Lyle Taylor, who drilled it low into the right corner to give Partick the lead.

Partick continued to press as half time approached and managed to double their advantage when Sinclair headed in from a Higginbotham corner.
