Report: Manchester City turn focus to Kevin De Bruyne

Manchester City will push on with their bid to sign Wolfsburg attacking midfielder Kevin De Bruyne after agreeing a deal for Raheem Sterling, according to reports.

Manchester City have reportedly switched their focus to securing a deal for Wolfsburg's Kevin De Bruyne after moving a step closer to signing Raheem Sterling from Liverpool.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers revealed on Monday that City had agreed a fee in the region of £49m for Sterling after failing with two previous bids for the England international, who is expected to undergo a medical at the club on Tuesday.

According to The Telegraph, City are now prepared to push on with their bid to bring former Chelsea attacking midfielder De Bruyne back to the Premier League as they look to beat Paris Saint-Germain to his signature.

The report suggests that director of football Txiki Begiristain will hold talks with the Belgian's representatives later this week, but the tougher task could be matching Wolfsburg's valuation of the 24-year-old.

De Bruyne has also been linked with Bayern Munich.
