Brian Marwood hits out at AC Milan's approach for Carlos Tevez.

Brian Marwood has hit out at Italian giants AC Milan for their pursuit of Manchester City's wantaway striker Carlos Tevez.

The Blues' football administration officer has admitted that he is unsure as to whether Tevez will still be a City player come the end of the January transfer window.

The Argentinean striker has shown no signs of returning to England after being frozen out of the first team since refusing to warm up in the Champions League match against Bayern Munich in September.

Milan and Paris Saint-Germain currently lead the chase for the 27-year-old, with the Serie A club claiming that they are willing to wait until the final day of the transfer window.

However, Marwood has insisted nothing has changed.

"Well, the position hasn't changed. They (AC Milan) came to us with a loan option, which was something we rejected and that still stays the same," Marwood told Sky Sports News.

"Clearly Milan have decided to conduct their business through the media. That's something we choose not to do and will continue not to do and things haven't changed.

"Carlos Tevez is still a Manchester City football player."

Manchester City face Arsenal this Sunday.
