Mali vs. Burkina Faso (Tuesday, 5.00pm)

Seeking to improve upon their past two Africa Cup of Nations performances, Mali will take on Burkina Faso in a round of 16 encounter at the Amadou Gon Coulibaly Stadium on Tuesday.

The Eagles qualified as Group E winners, while the Stallions secured passage to this stage as runners-up in Group D.

We say: Mali 1-0 Burkina Faso

We anticipate a closely-fought contest between these two teams, but Mali are likely to prevail in the end. The Eagles have demonstrated their defensive solidity, which is often a decisive factor in tournament football.

Morocco vs. South Africa (Tuesday, 8.00pm)

The final match in the round of 16 at the Africa Cup of Nations will see Morocco take on South Africa at Stade de San Pedro on Tuesday night.

The winner of this match will move on to the quarter-final, where they will face either Cape Verde or Mauritania, who square off a day before.

We say: Morocco 3-1 South Africa

South Africa may offer strong resistance, but the gulf in quality between them and their opponents, Morocco, will ultimately prove decisive. The Atlas Lions have seen off the opposition with impressive composure throughout the tournament, and we anticipate another assured showing from them.
