David Meyler praises 'unbelievable squad togetherness' at Hull City

David Meyler describes the squad togetherness at Hull City as "unbelievable" ahead of today's trip to Cardiff City.

Hull City midfielder David Meyler has described the togetherness among his teammates as "unbelievable".

The Tigers travel to Cardiff City today looking to put points between themselves and the bottom three.

Meyler, who returns to the ground in which he made his Hull debut in 2012, says that his side are now looking forward rather than behind in the league table.

"The togetherness in our squad is just unbelievable," the 24-year-old is quoted as saying by the Hull Daily Mail. "I've not really seen it anywhere else and people from outside the club have said how close we are as a group.

"There's always a few of us going out for dinner and socialising. We're all striving for the same thing and there's no egos in our changing room. That's a major factor. We're very fortunate.

"I'd rather look up than look down. If we win Saturday we could jump up a couple of places. We can't be looking at getting sucked in. We've got to take it one game at a time and look to pick up as many points as we can."

Hull are currently 13th in the Premier League table.
