Borussia Dortmund win at Freiburg

Borussia Dortmund record a 1-0 win over Freiburg in the Bundesliga.

Sebastian Kehl scored the only goal of the match as Borussia Dortmund recorded a 1-0 win over Freiburg in the Bundesliga.

The first real opportunity of the game arrived after six minutes when Dortmund midfielder Nuri Sahin struck a free kick from outside the box, but his effort brought a smart save from Oliver Baumann.

Philipp Zulechner had a golden chance for the home side after 25 minutes when he latched onto a loose ball inside the box, but somehow he fired high and wide of the crossbar.

Jonathan Schmid had the final opportunity for Freiburg in what was a tentative first period, but his free kick was wide of the post.

The first chance of the second period arrived for Dortmund as Julian Schieber collected a loose pass inside the Freiburg box, but his effort moved wide of the target as the score remained goalless.

Dortmund finally took the lead moments before the hour mark when Kehl found the back of the net from distance.

Jonas Hofmann had the game's final chance for Dortmund on 88 minutes, but his effort was high of the crossbar.
