Jorginho "very happy" despite Chelsea contract uncertainty

Jorginho reveals that he is "very happy" at Chelsea despite having less than a year remaining on his current deal at Stamford Bridge.

Jorginho has revealed that he is "very happy" at Chelsea despite concerns over an uncertain future at the club.

The 30-year-old is into the final year of his contract and will be eligible to discuss a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs in January providing he does not agree a new deal with the Blues.

The potential for a free transfer in the summer has reportedly attracted interest from Barcelona, however the midfielder has claimed that he is relaxed about the situation.

"I'm very happy at the moment we're all very focused on what we need to do. I'm enjoying life here. I'm enjoying working with everyone and I think everybody says the same thing. It's enjoyable to be at Chelsea," he told The 5th Stand.

Agent Joao Santos revealed last month that the player intends to renew his deal at Stamford Bridge.

"We are due in June. We prioritise Chelsea and we are moving towards it. Another priority for Jorginho is to do well with the national team," he told Tuttomercatoweb.

Jorginho has made 16 appearances for Chelsea across all competitions this season, scoring three times.
