San Siro to host 2016 Champions League final

The Champions League final in 2016 will be held at the San Siro in Milan, with the Europa League final being played at St Jakob-Park in Basel.

UEFA has confirmed that the final of the 2016 Champions League will be held at the San Siro in Milan.

The stadium previously hosted the final of the tournament in 2001, when Bayern Munich lifted the trophy following a penalty shootout win over Valencia.

It has also been announced that St Jakob-Park in Basel will host the Europa League final that same season.

The final of this season's tournament will take place at the Olympiastadion in Berlin.
