Chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge calls for calm after Bayern Munich's positive start to the new season.

Bayern Munich chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has asked for everybody connected with the club not to get carried away with the club's positive start to the season.

Munich currently sit top of the Bundesliga and have won two out of two Champions League matches after defeating Manchester City 2-0 yesterday evening.

Despite the positive beginning to the campaign, Rummenigge has called for calm at the Allianz Arena.

"The Champions League doesn't really get going until the knock-out stages and the title will be won in May, not in September," said the former German international.

Die Roten last won the Champions League in 2001.
