Paris Saint-Germain captain Thiago Silva wants to join Barcelona this summer, according to a report.

Paris Saint-Germain captain Thiago Silva is reportedly desperate to join Barcelona this summer.

The 35-year-old remains an important player for Thomas Tuchel's side, making 30 appearances in all competitions during the 2019-20 campaign.

Silva will be out of contract at the end of the season, though, and the experienced centre-back is allegedly unlikely to be offered a new deal by the French champions.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the South American is determined to secure a summer move to Barca as he wants to play alongside Lionel Messi before hanging up his boots.

Silva joined PSG from AC Milan in 2012 and has made 310 appearances for the capital giants in all competitions, winning six Ligue 1 crowns in the process.

Barca are currently short of first-team options in central defence, while Samuel Umtiti's long-term future at Camp Nou continues to be called into question.
