The 49-year-old, who enjoyed a five-year stint at Camp Nou as a player, is reportedly on a shortlist of names drawn up by the club's hierarchy to succeed the Argentine should he opt against prolonging his stay in Catalunya.
The Dane told reporters: "That is just saying things, it's always positive when you are mentioned [as a contender for a big job], but five or six names are always mentioned. Maybe in a month's time some of those names change.
"It's always positive when you are mentioned, but let's take it for what it is."
Laudrup has been out of work since being sacked from his post at Swansea City earlier this year.
