Arsene Wenger "surprised" to see Leicester City bottom of Premier League

Arsene Wenger tips Leicester City to avoid relegation after admitting his suprise at seeing the Foxes at the bottom of the Premier League.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has revealed his surprise at Leicester City's plight after watching his side squeeze out a 2-1 win against the Foxes at the Emirates on Tuesday.

Laurent Koscielny and Theo Walcott gave the home side a two-goal cushion before Andrej Kramaric struck for the visitors.

Speaking after the game, Wenger said that he thinks that rock-bottom Leicester will avoid relegation from the Premier League if they maintain their performance levels.

"It was important to win and I would like to say that we played against a very good team," Wenger told Sky Sports News. "I'm surprised that this team is bottom of the league.

"I knew that before the game but you could see again today they are a strong side and if they don't panic and keep believing in what they are doing, I think they will be OK."

The victory takes the Gunners up to fourth in the table.
