Scottish League One roundup: Arbroath remain rooted to foot of table

Arbroath remain rooted to the foot of the Scottish League One table following a 3-0 home reverse against Dunfermline at East End Park.

A late Stewart Greacen goal denied Airdrieonians three vital points at New Broomfield in Scottish League One this evening.

The Diamonds were on course for victory after James Lister fired them ahead in the 68th minute, only for Stenhousemuir to hit back with less than five minutes remaining.

A fifth successive draw for Scott Booth's side ensures that they prolong their winless run, which now stretches to nine games, while Airdrie remain just four points clear of the drop zone.

Elsewhere, Dunfermline Athletic strengthened their grip on second place in the table, courtesy of a 3-0 victory over Arbroath.

Second-half goals from Ross Forbes and Josh Falkingham added to Stephen Husband's earlier opener to keep the Red Lichties routed to the foot of the division.

Despite the victory, three points for Rangers against Stranraer ensure that the gap between the division's leading sides remains at 11 points.

Results in full: Airdrie 1-1 Strenhousemuir, Dunfermline 3-0 Arbroath, Stranraer 0-2 Rangers.
