Half-Time Report: Houston Texans on course for fourth consecutive defeat

The Houston Texans trail the St Louis Rams 17-6 at half time as they look to avoid losing for the fourth week in a row.

The Houston Texans are on course for their fourth consecutive defeat as they trail the St Louis Rams 17-6 at the halfway stage of their NFL clash.

The visitors took the lead with just over six minutes left in the first quarter when Sam Bradford found Cory Harkey open with a short pass, allowing the tight end to stroll over from close range for a simple touchdown.

The Rams extended their advantage early in the second quarter when Greg Zuerlein hit a 42-yard field goal to make it 10-0, but that deficit was soon restored to seven when Randy Bullock got the Texans on the scoreboard with a 20-yard kick.

The Rams' second touchdown of the half came with just under three minutes remaining in the second quarter as Bradford found Lance Kendricks wide open in the end zone.

Bullock hit another field goal, this time from 35 yards, late in the second quarter to make it 17-6, leaving the hosts with an 11-point gap to overhaul in the second half.
