Biathlon mass start for the second time due to fog

The men's biathlon 15km mass start race in Sochi has been delayed once more due to thick fog.

The men's biathlon 15km mass start race has been postponed for the third time due to thick fog in Sochi and it is now not scheduled to begin until tomorrow.

The race was due to start at 3pm GMT yesterday, but it was then pushed back an hour. Event organisers then said that the race would begin this morning, but the conditions have still not improved sufficiently.

The women's race, which is due to begin at 3pm GMT, is also under threat. Event organisers will make a decision as to whether it goes ahead at midday.
