The Netherlands have set a new Olympic record in winning the men's team pursuit speed skating in Sochi.

The Dutch team, consisting of Jan Blockhuijsen, Sven Kramer and Koen Verweij, finished with a time of three minutes and 37.71 seconds to take home the nation's seventh gold of the 2014 Winter Games.

The South Korean team of Joo Hyong-jun, Kim Cheol-min and Lee Seung-hoon, took the silver medal after finishing with a time 3:40.85.

Poland took the bronze medal after beating Canada in the third-place playoff.
