Canada's Jennifer Jones delighted with Sochi gold

Team Canada's Jennifer Jones has said that she is delighted with her team's performance during their victory over Sweden in the final of the women's curling at the Winter Olympics.

The North Americans got the better of their European opponents 6-3 in Sochi on Thursday.

"I thought, 'Wow, just wow'," The AP quotes the 39-year-old as saying. "We did it, we did it. We are gold medallists.

"We did it in a way that we played so consistent all week on the biggest stage for sport. We came out and played our best."

Canada won all 11 of their games in the event.
