After 723 days of injury hell Murray finally gets his long-awaited SW19 return. It may not be in the singles, but the Scot is determined to enjoy every minute of his men's doubles opener as he and partner Pierre-Hugues Herbert take on Marius Copil and Ugo Humbert.

Brit Watch

There are five players trying to put smiles back on the home crowd's faces in the singles after Heather Watson and Kyle Edmund went out on Wednesday. Jay Clarke has a dream encounter with Roger Federer on Court One, Cameron Norrie gets a Centre Court debut against Kei Nishikori, followed by Johanna Konta's clash with Katerinia Siniakova, while Dan Evans takes on Nikoloz Basilashvili on Court Three. Harriet Dart completes the quintet against Beatriz Haddad Maia, first up on Court 12.

Match of the day

There can only be one contender for this, the blockbusting clash between Kyrgios and Nadal, which has quite rightly been given headline billing on Centre Court. There are so many sub-plots to this match, not least the ongoing feud between the two, which has seen a war of words break out in recent months. Nadal will not be keen on playing someone of Kyrgios' ability so early and this is sure to be box office.

Potential upset

After losing Britain's top male player on Wednesday, the women's one could be vulnerable just a day later. Konta is up against Czech world number 38 Siniakova on second. Siniakova beat Naomi Osaka at the French Open, is a doubles champion at SW19 and has defeated Konta in their only previous meeting.
