Serena Williams has insisted that she will be under no pressure to perform when she meets Maria Sharapova in the semi-finals of Wimbledon.
The world number one kept her hopes of a calendar Grand Slam alive by battling past Victoria Azarenka on Centre Court this afternoon, while Sharapova reached the last four at SW19 for the first time since 2011 by beating Coco Vandeweghe in three sets.
Williams is now looking forward to facing the Russian again, having beaten her in each of their last 16 meetings.
"I love playing Maria, I think she brings out the best in me," the 33-year-old told reporters.
"I think I bring out the best in her. I don't feel I have any pressure going into this match. We both are enjoying this moment and one of us will be in the final."
The other women's semi-final sees Garbine Muguruza take on Agnieszka Radwanska.
