Tim Henman: 'Andy Murray has rebuilt his identity'

Henman: 'Murray has rebuilt identity'

British tennis legend Tim Henman has suggested that Andy Murray's return to form has arguably been down to how the world number three has rebuilt his identity.

Murray exited Wimbledon at the quarter-final stage last year, but Henman has backed the 28-year-old to improve this time around having made progress with both his temperament and attacking game.

"It's a gameplan: if you don't have an identity you don't have a game plan, the way you want to play, you've got no chance," said Henman, according to the Belfast Telegraph.

"There's no point in simply reacting. You must have a clear strategy of course, and Andy has really honed his for this season.

"He's rebuilt his identity, and that's what's seen him put himself right back at the top of his game."

Murray begins his Wimbledon campaign on Tuesday when he takes on Mikhail Kukushkin.
