Liam Broady "quite fatigued" during David Goffin match

Liam Broady has admitted that he felt "quite fatigued" during his second-round defeat to Belgium's David Goffin at Wimbledon.

The British wildcard lost 7-6 6-1 6-1 to the 16th seed after beating Marinko Matosevic on his Wimbledon debut earlier this week.

The former junior singles finalist told BBC Sport: "I was fighting pretty hard and had to save some break points. The reason these guys are where they are is they play the big points well.

"After the first set it got away from quick. I was quite fatigued, my shoulders dropped. His levels maintained or rose and that was that.

"What I have learnt is I am not as far away as I thought. I was toe to toe in the first set with a guy who was 15th in the world. We have a good camaraderie in the British camp. I would like to think I am on the way to the top 100."

Broady was ranked 182nd in the world heading into the tournament.
