Super-serving Feliciano Lopez comfortably through

Feliciano Lopez has comfortably reached the second round of the US Open with a straight-sets win over Robin Haase.

The 30th seed served imperiously, recording 17 aces and facing - and saving - just one break point in the entire 108-minute match.

Lopez broke his opponent four times and prevailed 6-3 7-5 6-2 on Court Four.

Next up for the 30-year-old is a match against either Thomaz Bellucci of Brazil or fellow Spaniard Pablo Andujar.
