World number one Caroline Wozniacki has booked a place in the fourth round of the US Open after a straight sets victory over USA's Vania King.

The Dane controlled much of the first set, and eventually claimed it 6-4.

King put in a spirited display in the second, breaking late on, but Wozniacki had enough to see her through for the win.

The 21-year-old will now face either Akgul Amanmuradova or Svetlana Kuznetsova.
