Francesca Schiavone has beaten Mirjana Lucic in straight sets to progress through to the third round of the US Open.
The Italian pro started off the first set strongly and continued her form in the second set with a 6-1 6-1 victory.
The 31-year-old only made one double fault as opposed to her Croatian opponent Lucic, who racked up five.
From the start of the second set, the 2010 French Open winner dominated and was rarely troubled by the 29-year-old.
