Result: Rafael Nadal sets up Andy Murray semi-final at US Open

Rafael Nadal will face Andy Murray in the US Open semi-finals after a straight-sets victory over Andy Roddick.

The number two seed overpowered his opponent in the first set, comfortably winning 6-2.

Roddick, who appeared to be struggling with a leg injury, was outclassed throughout, and Nadal swept him aside 6-1 to claim the second.

The Spaniard was met with slightly more resistance in the third, but won 6-3 to set up a clash with number four seed Murray.
