Victoria Azarenka beats Aleksandra Wozniak in straight sets

Victoria Azarenka has cruised into the third round of the US Open following a straight-sets victory over Aleksandra Wozniak.

The world number two raced into a 5-0 lead over the 25-year-old, before the Canadian, buoyed a break of serve, clawed three games back but the Bulgarian held out for a 6-3 opening-set win.

The second set began in similar vein, with Azarenka once again breaking her opponent twice en route to a commanding 5-1 lead, before serving out the match to seal her passage to the next stage.
