Organisers of the US Open discuss plans to permanently move the Men's final to a Monday.

Organisers of the US Open are to discuss plans to permanently move the Men's final to a Monday.

The switch would allow players to have a day off between the semi-final and the final.

"We're just getting into this process and right now everything is on the table," said tournament director Jim Curley.

The previous four finals of the event have been delayed, with this year's disrupted by heavy rain.

The congested schedule led to world number three Andy Murray suggesting that players strike over the unrealistic physical demands that are put on them.
