Result: Tsonga knocks Fish out of US Open

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga has defeated top American seed Mardy Fish in round four of the US Open.

The Frenchman claimed the first set 6-4 but was forced into a tiebreaker in the second, taken by Fish 7-5.

Fish kept up the momentum and took the advantage with a 6-3 victory in the third set, but Tsonga came back with successive 6-4 6-2 wins to take the match.

Tsonga now faces Roger Federer or Argentina's Juan Monaco in the quarter-finals.
