Record withdrawls at US Open

The number of players forced to withdraw through injury have reached a record high at this year's US Open.

There are now 14 competitors who have pulled out, beating the previous record of 12 at Wimbledon 2008.

Ten retirements have come in the men's draw, while there have been four in the women's section.

Tomas Berdych and Marcel Granollers are the latest names to leave the competition early.
