Andy Murray: 'I'm in very good shape"

Eighth seed Andy Murray says that he is in a "very good shape" after advancing into the fourth round of the US Open at Flushing Meadows.

Andy Murray has reiterated that he is feeling good after putting his injury problems behind him to see off Andrey Kuznetsov in the third round of the US Open last night.

The number eight seed, who struggled with cramp earlier this week, came out 6-1 7-5 4-6 6-2 victor in New York to set up a meeting with Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.

"[Last night] was much better than Monday," Murray is quoted as saying by BT Sport. "It felt pretty humid on the court but it was quite cool by the end of the match. I hope it's not a problem for the rest of the tournament.

"Like I said before the tournament started, I feel like I'm in very good shape. I trained extremely hard in Miami to get ready for this period of the year. It shouldn't be a problem."

Murray won the US Open title in 2012 and followed that up with an historic Wimbledon success in 2013.
