British trio in main US Open draw

Great Britain's Elena Baltacha, Anne Keothavong and Heather Watson have been given direct entry into this year's US Open.

The trio represent Britain's best showing in the competition since 1992.

"Always good to earn your spot," tweeted Baltacha, who reached the second round of the event last year.

The US Open at Flushing Meadows, New York will begin in August.
