Live Commentary: Caroline Wozniacki vs. Duan Ying-Ying - as it happened

Caroline Wozniacki was up against unheralded Chinese powerhouse Duan Ying-Ying in the opening round of the US Open this afternoon.

The 2009 finalist made it through to the second round after a tough 6-2 7-5 examination.

Wozniacki plays on anyway and gets flummoxed by the bounce of Duan's arcing shot but manages, with the tip of her frame, to get the ball over. Duan tries to argue that the ball was up but apparently she can barely speak English!
