Caroline Wozniacki relishing second US Open final

Caroline Wozniacki claims that she has goose bumps after beating Shuai Peng to seal her second US Open final.

Caroline Wozniacki has revealed that she cannot wait to contest her second US Open final as she bids for a first Grand Slam title.

The Dane booked her place in Sunday's showpiece at Flushing Meadows after her semi-final opponent Peng Shuai was forced to retire after being a set down.

Wozniacki was a beaten finalist to Kim Clijsters back in 2009, and the world number 11 says that she has goose bumps thinking about a first Slam win.

She told Sky Sports News: "It was very difficult. You're out here and you want to battle and finish off properly.

"I just feel sorry for Peng, she played really well. It was really hot. Unfortunately she fell ill and I hope she'll be okay.

"I have goose bumps right now. It's been five years since I've been in the final here so it's incredible to be back."

However, she faces two-time defending champion Serena Williams in the final after the top seed cruised past Ekaterina Makarova in straight sets on Friday.

The final is scheduled to begin at 5pm.
