Chardy praises Murray performance

Frenchman Jeremy Chardy has admitted that Andy Murray was too good for him during their meeting at the Paris Masters earlier today.

Chardy battled hard in front of his home crowd but was unable to break the world number three's serve before eventually slumping to a 6-2 6-4 defeat.

After the match, Chardy revealed that there was little he could have done to change the outcome of the tie.

"He is playing at a higher level," Chardy said. "He's playing the right shots. He's everywhere.

"He didn't make a single unforced error during the first four games, or at least I don't remember.

"Tactically he made the right choices."

Murray will play Andy Roddick in the next round.
