Argentina's Davis Cup captain Tito Vasquez backs his side's freshness ahead of the weekend clash with Spain.

Argentina captain Tito Vasquez believes that his side's freshness could be a key factor in this weekend's Davis Cup final showdown with Spain.

Hosts Spain are unbeaten in 20 home ties but their leading two players, Rafael Nadal and David Ferrer, were both in action last week.

In contrast, Argentina's world number 11 Juan Martin Del Potro and 64th-ranked David Nalbandian have not played a competitive match since October.

"The players have been making a big effort over the last three weeks," Vasquez stated.

"They have sacrificed their normal schedule and devoted energy to this tie. I'm very proud of them."

Ferrer, meanwhile, admitted: "We're all physically tired."

The event runs from Friday to Sunday.
