Flanders Expo in Ghent confirmed as Davis Cup final venue

Ghent to host Davis Cup final

The International Tennis Federation has confirmed that the Davis Cup final between Belgium and Great Britain will be held at the Flanders Expo in Ghent.

Belgium were given the right to host the final on the last weekend of November because the last time the two countries met, GB were the home side.

As expected, the 13,000-capacity Flanders Expo has been nominated as the venue and Belgium will use a clay court in an attempt to stifle British number one Andy Murray as it is his least favoured surface.

Great Britain saw off Australia over the weekend to reach their first final since 1978, while Belgium got the better of Argentina to make the final for the first time in 111 years.
