Azarenka "more nervous" at Olympics

World number one Victoria Azarenka has admitted that she gets more nervous playing for her country than at regular tournaments.

The Belarusian squeezed into the second round of the Olympics with a narrow three-set victory over Romania's Irina-Camelia Begu on Monday.

"I get more nervous when I play for my country than when I play for myself," the 23-year-old told reporters. "Hopefully, the next round will be much easier."

Azarenka continues her quest for a medal later today when she takes on Spain's Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez on Wimbledon's Court 1.
