Du Plessis "incredibly happy" with win

South Africa prop Jannie du Plessis has insisted that his side's job is not yet done at the Rugby World Cup despite declaring himself "incredibly happy" with the quarter-final victory over Wales.

The Springboks edged a topsy-turvy battle at Twickenham on Saturday courtesy of Fourie du Preez's late try, with the lead changing hands seven times throughout the match.

Du Plessis revealed that it was a mixture of emotions at the final whistle, but stressed that they will begin to focus on their semi-final with New Zealand straight away.

"It's difficult to explain [how I'm feeling]. It's a feeling of relief and adulation, but simultaneously to be in a semi-final, it is a great achievement but it's not what everyone aims for," he told Sports Mole.

"I'm incredibly happy with the win against a very good Welsh side who came back from a lot of adversity to make the quarters. They really played well. They could have won as well.

"We'll enjoy the fact that we were successful tonight and tomorrow press the reset button and start over."

South Africa will face the All Blacks at Twickenham next Saturday, with the winner of that match putting themselves just 80 minutes away from becoming world champions for an unprecedented third time.
