Weir sidelined for Six Nations

Scotland fly-half Duncan Weir has been ruled out of the Six Nations after undergoing arm surgery.

The 23-year-old, who has made a total of 18 appearances for his country since his debut in 2012, is expected to be sidelined for around four months.

Weir suffered the injury last month during club Glasgow Warriors's game against Edinburgh Rugby.

Scotland begin their Six Nations campaign on February 7 when they face France in Paris.
